| My love of art has evolved over the years. From buying it to making it. From going to Art Shows to doing Art Shows. I have done everything from painting to pottery. I have found peace with glass. It is all consuming. It is an art form that draws you in and holds you there for hours. I have taken classes from Edy Seaman in Solon, OH and with Master Glass Artist Loren Stump at the Corning Museum of Glass in N.Y. Since I have been making glass beads I have had three of my pieces on display at the Trumbull Art Gallery in juried shows . I have been invited to do the Butler Art Museum Christmas show and the Shaker Woods Christmas in the Woods show. I have done shows in Florida also. I got Best of Show and best individual piece at the YSU Summer Festival of the Arts. But the highlight of my time as a glass artist was the day I taught the students at Trinity Prep in Florida. The students that sat in on my classes really inspired me . All the long hours, all the long days and all the hard work. It is all worth it. I love working with glass it has enriched my life. Along with my husband two son's and two wonderful grandchildren. I belong to ISGB, Trumbull Area Artist , Trumbull Art Guild and Artists of the Rust Belt. |
